The Spin winter 2025 edition
In December, Spinal Cord Injury BC published an article about the similarities between the SCI community and the skate community. The article goes through some of my personal journey after my injury and our projects we are working on. The Lounge, as seen on the cover of the article, is available for purchase as a DECK ONLY. Currently we are working on complete version that will be available soon with or without a seat depending on the user. This piece of adaptive equipment is meant for cruising around flat and mellow paved terrain without your traditional use of a mobility device. Our other project, which is still under development is the downhill street luge. This model will be able to go downhill at speed similar to a long boarder or a street luger. The difference is your feet wont be used for braking, there will be a drag brake system (under development) with the possibly of of cable braking system in the future. The drag brake will also be compatible with The Lounge cruiser.
